Interpretation Centre “Discovering the New World” is a museum devoted to maritime Portuguese Discoveries and especially to the discovery of Brazil by Pedro Álvares Cabral.
Divided in two floors, the museum of Belmonte is set in the manor house Solar dos Cabrais. It depicts in 16 rooms the entire Discoveries’ epopee from the preparation of the trip to India to the arrival of Pedro Álvares Cabral in 1500 in Brazil, by using the latest technologies.
From Tuesday to Sunday.
Closes on mondays, December 25th, january 1st and May 1st.
