1st Invasion 1807 / 1808
17 Nov. 1807 – Napoleon sends French troops under the command of Junot taking hold of the government in Lisbon
23 Jun. 1808 – Coimbra insurrection
23 Jul. 1808 – Coimbra Academic Battalion occupies Forte de Santa Catarina – Figueira da Foz
01. Aug. 1808 – Disembark of British army under Wellesley leadership
- Wellesley meets with Bernardim Freire in Montermor-o-Velho, in order to draw an opposition strategy to fight Junot
- Wellesley arrives at Coimbra, being accommodated in Quinta das Lágrimas
17 Aug. 1808 – Roliça Fighting
21 Aug. 1808 – Vimeiro Battle
2nd Invasion 1809
02 Apr. 1809 – Wellesley is nominated commander-in-chief of British Army
22 Apr. 1809 – Wellesley disembarks in Lisbon
02 May. 1809 – British Army arrives at Coimbra
3rd Invasion 1810 / 1811
26 Ago. 1810 – Almeida Siege
20 Sep. 1810 – Wellesley sends missives from Convento de Lorvão
27 Set. 1810 – Bussaco Battle
21 a 28 Sep. 1810 – Wellesley sends several missives from Convento do Bussaco
October – several meetings take place between Portuguese and British of Portuguese origin

08 a 19 Jan. 1812 – British Army under Wellesley enters Ciudad Rodrigo
